The Lasting Heroes! / MOKSHADA CHOUDHARY

          Today was the day when the bravest and gallants heroes of India's 26/11 attack were remembered. The 26/11 attacks, also known as the Mumbai terror attacks, occurred on November 26, 2008. Ten terrorists belonging to the Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba carried out a series of coordinated attacks across Mumbai, India. The attackers targeted multiple locations, including the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, the Oberoi Trident Hotel, Nariman House (a Jewish community centre), and Leopold CafĂ©.           The terrorists opened fire, planted bombs, and took hostages during a siege that lasted for several days. The attacks resulted in the tragic loss of 166 lives, including both Indian and foreign nationals, and left hundreds injured.           In the month of May, during my summer vacation, I went to Ledo, in the state of Assam, India. Ledo is the north east part of India, in the upper part of Assam near the border of Arunachal Pradesh. It is a very extreme and remote place where necessary amenities are difficult to find. I wanted to do something new and gain some hardcore experience. While travelling I was also doing a course on community service with the organisation called Tribes For Good' . It is a very well established organisation currently working towards the goal of providing services to the poverty stricken peoples and spreading awareness on general topics that people are unaware about like: Climate Change.
