Tribes For Good: A social Cause / MOKSHADA CHOUDHARY

In the month of May, during my summer vacation, I went to Ledo, in the state of Assam, India. Ledo is the north east part of India, in the upper part of Assam near the border of Arunachal Pradesh. It is a very extreme and remote place where necessary amenities are difficult to find. I wanted to do something new and gain some hardcore experience. While travelling I was also doing a course on community service with the organisation called Tribes For Good'. It is a very well established organisation currently working towards the goal of providing services to the poverty stricken peoples and spreading awareness on general topics that people are unaware about like: Climate Change. STEM Education, Offbeat Carriers and many more topics.
I was assigned an individual community project, I was told to conduct a social event for the needy people and was told to make a pitch-in report and click pictures and conduct activities and the usual process. Well I brainstormed about almost a night and finally came up with idea on how will I do my individual project!

Education is the cornerstone of nation's progress, and it is crucial to ensure that every child has equal access to quality education. In many countries, government schools play a vital role in providing education to significant portion of the population. However, these schools often face resource constraints and various challenges that effect the quality of education they offer. To bridge this gap and contribute to a social cause, I found a school there in Ledo and decided to give them my best knowledge and make an impression that the children are in good hands.

The school named 'Sister Nivedita High School' which is run by the North Bishop Catholic Education Society, was the one on which I decided to work upon. I conducted a science fair for classes 9th an 10th and I took subject-wise classes on Mathematics and Science. To ensure that everyone had equal access to quality education, we gave them small booklets to cruise through!  The workshops held helped imparting practical skills and knowledge that are often not part of the standard curriculum. This can equip students with essential life lessons and broaden their horizons. The activities conducted during the science fair inspired creativity and innovation  among the students. And by conducting these workshop in government schools encourages community involvement. Parent and local organisations can be a part of this cause too!

Conducting workshops in government school is a noble social cause with the potential to create a lasting positive impacts on student's life. These workshops also contribute the overall growth and well being of the nation by promoting skills and holistic development. When undertaken with careful panning and community involvement, such initiative can bridge the educational gap and build a brighter future for all!

Here are some picture from the events:
